3rd_pillar.jpgBill Pappas aka “Kill Bill” has been coaching CrossFit for over 5 glorious years. He considers himself a reformed endurance athlete since finding CrossFit. He has competed in triathlons, from middle distance to ultramarathons (but never a marathon), and raced both road and mountain bikes. He has worked as a climbing guide and often ventures out into the mountains to climb both rock and ice. He is a Mechanical Engineer by trade and obsessive CrossFit coach the remaining 16 hours of the day. His passion, knowledge and love of the Sport of Fitness is infectious.

Certifications: Level I Trainer, CrossFit Kids, CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit Endurance, CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting, USAW Club Coach

Andrew Gray aka “The Mastermind” came to Jet City by stork.  He was a founding member and trainer at CrossFit SoCal in San Diego, and has been CrossFitting for over 6 years. A lover of all endurance sports, his “day job” is working for Zoot Sports, the world’s leader in triathlon apparel/footwear and he has raced in over 20 triathlons and countless road races, not to mention competing in the 2008 CrossFit Games. Andrew is a self described “non-specialist” and strives to be excellent at everything. He has competed in Olympic Lifting, Rugby (former Captain of UC Davis’ Rugby Team) and Triathalons all in the same year!

Certifications: Level I Trainer, Barbell Certification

beth.jpgBethany Pappas thought her family was crazy. “You want me to do Fran who??” She quickly found that her passion for a life full of good friends, food, and activity translated directly to CrossFit. With an active job in the restaurant industry, mother of a 4 year old,  and a competitive soccer, rock climbing, and running sports background, CrossFit is now her ticket to staying sane. She loves passing on the undeniable and often life changing results that the CrossFit method & community provide. She manages the day to day operations at Jet City CrossFit in addition to coaching (so if there’s no TP you know who to find….).

Certifications: Level I Trainer, House Mother by default

Acacia Pappas (trainer-at-large) is currently attending St. John’s College, Annapolis. She was an avid soccer player throughout high school, and saw her game transform by training with the CrossFit program. Acacia manages to fit CrossFit into her schedule but at this point considers  herself more “BookFit” as a result of the “Great Books” program at St. Johns.
